PlanSpace 2.0
is an integrated, intelligent-based, analytics-driven digital dashboard of the Government of Kerala
that provides comprehensive insights into over 1900 Plan schemes and projects implemented by various departments
and agencies across the state. PLANSPACE provides the government with a powerful tool for tracking and evaluating
the implementation lifecycle of each scheme across numerous sectors and sub-sectors. This digital innovation platform
is an initiative of the Kerala State Planning Board in Technical Collaboration with Digital University Kerala.
The initial version of PLANSPACE was implemented during the financial year 2007-2008. Taking the advantages of
technology advancements and future demand for an efficient governance process, the second version PLANSPACE 2.0
was developed and implemented during the FY 2022-23 with many features and innovations.
PLANSPACE is a first-of-its-kind digital invention that allows users to access all project implementation-related information
from all departments through an integrated digital dashboard for quick analysis and decision making. It has become an effective
instrument for the government for monitoring, contemporaneous review, and fast decision-making because to its extensive analytics
and monitoring capabilities.
The officials can drill down to the granular level on the schemes and their numerous indicators, all the way down to the local
body level, with beneficiary traceability. All of the above aspects are facilitated by PLANSPACE, which establishes a highly
structured network of data aggregation, visualizations, analysis, and decision-making processes. It gathers data on 1900 plan
schemes with over 15000 indicators, which are executed by 235 agencies and departments, and delivers dynamic and analytics-driven
insights to various stakeholders such as the Hon. Chief Minister, Hon. Ministers, Chief Secretary, Secretaries to Departments, HODs,
District Collectors, District level implementing officers, elected representatives of Assembly Constituencies, District Collectors,
District level officers, Local body level implementing officials, and so on. The system also allows for the tracking and tracing of
each scheme's beneficiary information, ensuring that the scheme's operation is transparent and accountable and the government becomes more productive.
